Taking It slow This Holiday Season

If you’re in the U.S. I’d like to wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving! Turkey day officially kicks off the holiday season and from here until New Years it can feel like an uphill race to do it all. From deadlines at work to traveling & entertaining, this time of the year can be the most exciting, but also the most stressful. It’s so easy to become overwhelmed by it all, but this season I’m taking time to slow down - intentionally.

Rather than push myself to my limits during these last two months of the year, I’ve decided that I’m going to scale back a bit and ensure everything stays as balanced as it can be. I want to make an effort to intentionally enjoy the loved ones in my life, dedicate some time to those less fortunate and take care of myself physically and mentally. In short, I’ll be working to not allow my excitement to turn into stress - stress that’s often self-induced.

Just last week I was having a conversation about the need to “keep up” and the inevitable pressure that we can put on ourselves as a result. The need to push ourselves to be better, faster and more well-rounded is a lot to handle any time of the year, but during the holidays it can feel even more amplified. So, this season I’m scaling back and only pushing myself a reasonable amount.

With this sentiment in mind I’ll be taking today, tomorrow and Saturday off and I’ll be back on Sunday with a new video. In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week. xx Audrey

Sleek Not Sloppy | My Loungewear Capsule & How To Wear Lounge wear Outside Of The house

With Thanksgiving here in the states tomorrow, and temps dropping every day, we’ve officially entered loungewear season and today I’m sharing my small loungewear capsule and a few ways I like to wear these pieces both in and out of the house - without looking like I just rolled out of bed. I’ve linked everything in the description bar of the video below and thanks so much for watching!

Gift Guide | Under $30

With Thanksgiving just a few days away, there’s no denying that the holidays are here! To kick off some festive content that I have planned this season, I’ve rounded up some beautiful gifts at a variety of price points. I’ll be sharing these over the next few days and weeks and will also be sharing a comprehensive guide over on my YouTube channel, but for now we’re starting with gifts under $30. Below you’ll find a nice variety ranging from fashion to jewelry to beauty - many of which are my own personal favorites as well! I’ve linked everything pictured down below and rounded up even more gifts at the bottom of the post broken into categories to make shopping a breeze. As a beauty lover and woman with 2 sisters and a mom who all love beauty, these gifts are some of my favorite to give and receive. I love the luxury of a beautifully packaged lipstick or body lotion and especially love that these little treasures typically offer the best bang for your buck. Each of these luxe indulgences in under $30 (some well under $30 and are sure to make the receiver feel pampered and cared for. My personal faves are the jade roller which I love for reducing puffiness (a must during the holidays), the Glossier set and the Alima Pure Blush which leaves the prettiest, natural looking flush.

Next, I’ve rounded up some great home, fashion and jewelry finds for under $30. Each of these are incredibly chic and look far more expensive than they are. I particularly love the books in this mix and may need this one for my own collection. I also think you can’t go wrong with a chic candle (you could even pair it with some lovely matches!) or beautifully printed magazine.

You can see the rest of my gift guides here.

ON MY RADAR NO. 60

Happy Friday from freezing Charleston! Well, at least freezing for down here lol. I’m spending the day cozy inside filming 2 upcoming videos and preparing for Thanksgiving next week! The excitement of the holidays is definitely here and I couldn’t be happier about it. This weekend I’ll be filming another video or 2 (I like to film far in advance of my scheduled posting day because I like to plan and prepare my videos and give myself plenty of time to refilm anything if necessary. Other than that, I’m excited to play around with the new goodies I received from the Sephora VIB Sale - nothing crazy, just a few things I know I love and use and a few I’ve been wanting to try. Also, I can’t wait to get outside and enjoy this gorgeous weather after almost a week of rain and clouds. I know Maddie can’t wait to go back to the dog park either. In the meantime, here are a few of the things that have caught my attention this week.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS | First and foremost I want to thank you for leaving such encouraging and wonderful comments on my videos and here on my posts. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to reply in a timely manner since most of my days are fully occupied filming and teaching myself how to do more sophisticated video editing, but I want you to know that I read almost every comment and am hoping to catch up next week when I have some downtime over Thanksgiving. Until then though, I want you to know how much I love hearing from you and that every time I receive a thoughtful, encouraging comment it keeps me motivated and inspired.

HOLIDAY TABLES 2 WAYS | You know how much I love Jennifer of the Daily Connoisseur and her recent video about repurposing the same plates, cutlery and floral arrangements for Thanksgiving and Christmas is wonderful and so useful!

GRANA LAUNCHES COATS | This week Grana launched coats and they’re so cute! They feature a cocoon shade and are double-breasted for some visual interest and comes in black and camel.

EVERLANE COCOON COAT | Speaking of coats, Everlane re-released their cocoon coats this week and they’re also so cute! I’ve heard great things about them and love that they come in a variety of colors - including some vibrant shades to liven up your fall/winter wardrobe.

MILLENNIALS TREATING PETS LIKE FIRST BORN | As an animal lover, millennial and pet owner, this article came as no surprise. Jason and I go out of our way to buy the best quality, most natural, holistic food we can find for our cats and Maddie - even if that comes with a high price tag. Hearing that we’re not alone and this has caused a hit to other well-known brands isn’t too surprising.

A BEAUTIFUL, COLORFUL MONOCHROMATIC LOOK | On the heels of Wednesday’s video all about creating a capsule without black, the last outfit in this YouTube video is a wonderful example of a colorful look worn head-to-toe that not only looks incredible, but also has the same effect as wearing all black from head-to-toe without the dark color.
