Easy & Festive Thanksgiving Table Decor Ideas

I love Thanksgiving! It’s easily one of my favorite holidays and even though I’ve yet to host it myself, I love gathering table decor ideas and menu options each year. Not only do these festive tables with warm lighting and tasty treats get me excited for spending time with family, but they also help kick my holiday spirit into overdrive. To spread some of that cheer, and maybe even give you some table decor ideas that you can use yourself, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites below.

1. NEW ENGLAND CHIC

I just love this table setting for a Maine couple’s first Thanksgiving. The Vibrant plates, the festive but relaxed napkins and the perfect fall foliage centerpieces are what dreams are made of.

2. CLASSIC & UNDERSTATED

I have a soft spot for holiday themed dishes and platters and the minimalist in me constantly resists the urge to collect every Thanksgiving and Christmas themed platter I find. This traditional table setting is making me second guess my year-round plates though and has me dreaming of Spode china in a rich brown pattern.

3. RICH & INVITING

How gorgeous is this high contrast setting?? I love the deep shades offset by the white and vibrant purple. The gold touches in the cutlery, vase and pears completes the whole thing in such a beautiful way.

4. RUSTIC CHARM

5. TIMELESS & VIBRANT

You know how much I adore House Of Brinson and their Thanksgiving table decor doesn’t disappoint. Full of the same cozy, classic and inviting quality that I love about their overall home decor, this table setting has me dreaming of crisp apple pie and toasted green beans.

6. CLASSIC BLUE & WHITE

7. BRING IN THE PUMPKINS

I love the idea of using edibles and lush foliage for a table setting and this collection of pumpkins set against an otherwise simple setting is perfect.

How To Make A Colorful Fall Capsule | 23 Pieces, Over 40 Looks (VIDEO)

Today I'm sharing a colorful fall capsule wardrobe that doesn't have the color black. This is a request that I've received countless times and I think it's a great way to show that a capsule or minimized wardrobe doesn't need to be only black, white and grey. Instead, you can choose as many or as few colors as you like! I've listed everything below along with the video and a quick breakdown of what I discuss. I’ve linked exact items when available, but since I've had many of my pieces for a few years, I've linked similar ones if I've found some. Thanks so much for watching xx Audrey

COLOR PALETTE

For my color palette, I selected a base of navy and brown/camel. For accent colors I went with white, green and red.

I chose these colors because they’re the colors I have enough of to create a capsule without black, but also because they’re beautiful colors for fall and I think navy is one of the best alternatives to black.

Like always though, this is just an example and I encourage you to find a color palette that works for you and your personal style, coloring and tastes. If you’d like to see my video all about selecting a color palette, you can view it here.

CAPSULE ITEMS

Given that I was working with the items I already have and just excluding black from the mix, most of these items will look familiar and they’re some definite overlap from my own fall capsule. That said though, I’ve also pulled out a beautiful green sweater that I haven’t worn in a few seasons and a pair of navy pants that I can’t wait to wear this winter. Below, I’ve included a quick snapshot of a few outfits that I put together from this capsule, but you can see the full range in the video at the bottom of this post. Also, I’ve started a Pinterest board full of outfits that don’t include the color black. You can see it here.

The Classic Black Pant | Some Great Picks For Your Wardrobe & Outfit Ideas

Black pants are a staple in my wardrobe and something that I turn to all year long. A classic clean front, ankle or just below ankle crop, pockets and belt loops are a must for a pair that can stand the test of time and be worn endless different ways. Those features coupled with wool or a wool blend make for the perfect investment pair that I know I’ll continue to wear for years to come.

Now, if your budget isn’t quite high enough to include a new pair of pants with these features, some synthetic blends offer the same look for a lot less and with proper care can last years. I have a pair of synthetic based pants from H&M that I’ve had for YEARS and they still look fantastic despite constant wear. Also, like always, don’t hesitate to check gently preowned sites and vintage shops for pairs with beautiful construction and high quality materials at a fraction of the price.

To help your search along, I’ve rounded up some of the best black pants that hit all of these points below - plus a few in a synthetic blend to suit a variety of budgets. The pair I’m wearing in the pic above are an older style by J.Crew but these by Everlane are almost identical. Also, I can personally vouch for the quality of this $30 pair from H&M. I saw them in-store recently and was very impressed. They’re weighty, evenly stitched and lined.
