If you saw my 2018 closet goals, then you know that I hope to make 2018 the year that I finally embrace my natural hair texture and go heat free. In that post I shared that I want this journey to usher in a wave of self acceptance that I hope to carry with me and continually work on for the rest of my life. 

So, today's post kicks off the first stage in this journey in which I will be forgoing all heat styling for 1 month and figuring out how best to handle my wavy/curly hair. I will be documenting the entire process with pictures, video and of course the products and routine that I adopt, and will share it all in a video next month. This whole process officially started on January 15th, so I will check back in on February 15th with hopefully healthier hair and a great sense of self love - ironically enough the day after Valentine's Day. 

Today's video is all about the style hacks and tips that I rely on to look chic even when it's freezing! Even though I live down south now, it still gets pretty chilly so today I'm sharing some of the things I do each winter to put together looks that are equal parts cute and practical. After reading her 2018 post, I felt inspired to share my own closet goals this year. So, in today's post I'm outlining what I love about my current wardrobe and personal style, as well as the things I want to change and where I hope to be with it all at the end of the year.
