Christmas In Charleston
A few weeks ago, I took advantage of our gorgeous weather and while on a long walk with Jason and Maddie, snapped some pics of Charleston. She’s absolutely gorgeous this time of year and has some of the best holiday decorations around. From simple wreaths to elaborate door decorations and everything in between, this lovely city certainly knows how to celebrate and that spirit is particularly vibrant and alive during the holidays. Below, I’ve posted some of my favorite snaps that I hope you enjoy.
My Current Wish List & Some Outfit Planning/Dreaming
As you know, I like to keep a running wish list of the items I hope to add to my wardrobe. The things on this list have been researched and evaluated and after some thought, I’ve decided they would make a welcome addition to my wardrobe. Many of these pieces are timeless items that I hope to have and wear for years to come and as a result they tend to come with a higher price tag than my usual purchases.
Now, as my budget slowly increases a little with age and I become clearer on my personal style and the things I love to wear, I’ve also come to favor spending more on these items in exchange for a piece that I’ll have for years to come. To help keep me focused and not stray too far from what I’ve devoted so much time to, I’ve decided to put together an inspiration board of my current wish list items and a few of the looks they’ll help me create when paired with my existing wardrobe.
For some of you this may seem over the top and too complicated for a simple purchase, but for me, this kind of planning has been instrumental in building my current closet and it’s helped me avoid many impulse buys that I end up not wearing. So, below I’ve outlined the items I’m dreaming of and a few of the looks I’d love to make with them. I’ve only rounded up a few looks because these collages take time to make, but really the possibilities are endless - especially when it comes to forever jewelry that you can wear for the rest of your life.
