As you know, I like to keep a running wish list of the items I hope to add to my wardrobe. The things on this list have been researched and evaluated and after some thought, I’ve decided they would make a welcome addition to my wardrobe. Many of these pieces are timeless items that I hope to have and wear for years to come and as a result they tend to come with a higher price tag than my usual purchases.
Now, as my budget slowly increases a little with age and I become clearer on my personal style and the things I love to wear, I’ve also come to favor spending more on these items in exchange for a piece that I’ll have for years to come. To help keep me focused and not stray too far from what I’ve devoted so much time to, I’ve decided to put together an inspiration board of my current wish list items and a few of the looks they’ll help me create when paired with my existing wardrobe.
For some of you this may seem over the top and too complicated for a simple purchase, but for me, this kind of planning has been instrumental in building my current closet and it’s helped me avoid many impulse buys that I end up not wearing.
