CURRENTLY COVETING: White Sneakers

If you saw my post last Friday, you know that I'm in the market for a pair of white sneakers that are equal parts comfy and cute. Since deciding that this classic shoe would add just the right touch to my existing wardrobe, I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair. To help narrow down my search I've been busy pinning inspiration and perusing all of the options at different price points. Below, I've linked some of the top contenders at the moment but I'll definitely keep you posted on which ones I settle for.

Summer Capsule Makeup + Dior Giveaway

Today's post is all about my summer capsule makeup collection. All-in-all, this routine is super simple and takes about 5 minutes each morning - when I'm not talking through it all for a video of course. Plus, it keeps me looking and feeling put-together all day despite the heat, and allows my skin to breathe which is always a must in this southern humidity. 

Below, I've outlined each product that I use along with a corresponding video so that you can see exactly how I apply everything. That's not all though! At the end of this post I've included a giveaway featuring the Dior Diorshow Primer that I love so much, along with my favorite eyelash curler and foundation brush as part of a giveaway to say "thank you!" for following along!

My routine in the summer is low-maintenance and lightweight. To achieve a flawless base without a full coverage foundation I start with the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. Not only does this primer make my makeup stay all day, but it also minimizes redness and pores so that I need less makeup overall. Once I've applied my primer I go in with a light dusting of mineral powder. I have a few that I really like but right now I'm using the BareMinerals Original Foundation in Golden Medium. I've been applying it with the EcoTools Powder Brush for a lightweight finish that gives me just enough coverage without ever looking cakey. 

Next, I add some color to my cheeks with either the Glossier Cloud Paints or BareMinerals All Over Face Color in Faux Tan applied with the Sigma F35 brush. I set it all with a light dusting of BareMinerals Mineral Veil for an airbrushed look. 

Once I've added some color onto my cheeks, I move onto eyes by filling in my brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz and Clear Brow Gel. Last but not least, I curl my lashes with my Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and apply a lash primer and mascara. In lieu of the DiorShow Primer I've been using and loving the L'Oreal Voluminous Primer and couldn't be happier with it! For mascara I rotate between the DiorShow Waterproof and a sample of the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes - both in black.

Happy Friday! Today's post revitalizes a series that somehow fell to the wayside since I began this blog. Each week I come across a variety of articles, products and inspiration that I want to share with you so on Friday I'll share these things in a series called "On My Radar." Today, I have a mix of Pinspiration, beauty, fashion and more so let's hop right in. 

  • In order to make a minimized wardrobe work for me, inspiration is key. Whether I'm looking for new ways to wear a white shirt, or just want to refresh some of my old standbys, I rely on Pinterest to keep me feeling fresh and current. As summer is winding down and I'm beginning to think about fall, I've been spending some extra time pinning away and getting as much inspiration as possible.   • In cute news for the week, Princess Charlotte takes the cake with her adorable curtsy.

  • I LOVE Celine Dion! I've loved her for as long as I can remember, and I credit her with fueling my love of singing, so I'm more than a little thrilled that she's recently regained her rightful spot in the limelight. 

  • I recently discovered Phlur Fragrances and couldn't be more impressed! I'll be sharing more in my July favorites but for now let me just say that I'm loving their unique approach to scent. 

  • The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to the public. If you're interested in seeing the pieces I think are worth picking up (or at least considering), you can read my round-up here. 

  • Surprisingly, I don't have any cute sneakers that can worn outside of the gym. Since I'll be heading to NY at the beginning of August and want a pair for travel and all the walking I'll be doing (especially since I'm out of practice), I've had my eye on these in white and cream. 

  • Clé de Peau concealer has been on my beauty wish list for quite some time so I was very interested when I saw that it was reformulated to include SPF. If any of your have ever tried it, let me know what you think of it. 

Project 1-4-4: The Shirtdress

Today I'm excited to share the next installment of Project 1-4-4 where I style 1 item, 4 ways, across all four seasons and today's episode features one of my favorite pieces - the shirtdress.

Like I've done with the other episodes in this series, I've styled this one piece for winter, spring, summer and fall to help demonstrate just how versatile classic wardrobe basics can be.
