How To Style 1 Blazer 4 Ways | Project 1-4-4

Today I'm excited to share the next installment of Project 1-4-4 featuring the classic blazer!

As you know, I absolutely love blazers and count my navy one as a must-have in my wardrobe. To show just how versatile a classic blazer in a neutral color is, I've put together a different look for each season.

I hope these ideas inspire you to rework some of your favorite pieces and I'd love to see how you do it by tagging me in pictures on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #Project144

Winter

During the cooler months I love to pair my blazer with a simple turtleneck and jeans. This combo never fails to be a classic and I wear it on repeat until spring. To polish the look even further I add riding boots and a classic clutch.

Spring

When spring rolls around I love to pair my blazer with a classic white shirt and fun skirt. To keep these structured separates more casual I like to wear them with flats and a simple belt.

Summer

In summer I love to use my blazer as a topper when I either need to be more polished or will be spending a great deal of time indoors in the AC. To ensure that my base layers are cool enough for the summer heat I like to wear my blazer over a simple white tee and light shorts. Simple sandals and some fun jewelry help complete the look even further.

Fall

Fall is my favorite season for wearing blazers and I've already worn this combination countless times this year. To keep my look collegiate and cool, I love to layer my blazer over a simple white top and jeans and finish it off with a great scarf and classic loafers.

Last Minute Halloween Costumes You Already Own

It's so hard to believe that Halloween is less than 1 week away! Even though Halloween is loads of fun, it can also be a waste of hard earned money when it comes to picking the perfect costume.

So, in the interest of doing more with less, today's post features four costume ideas you can easily recreate with pieces you probably already own.

I'd love to know what your Halloween costume is this year and if you're creating it with pieces you already own. Let me know in the comments down below and I hope you have a great Wednesday!

Neatly Knitted: 37 Piece Fall Capsule Wardrobe Outfit No.6

Happy Tuesday! Jason and I got back from Maine this past weekend and I already miss it. There's just something so irresistible about the Maine coast and I'm already planning a return visit.

In honor of our New England jaunt, today's capsule combination features the classic fisherman sweater. This combo is one I wear constantly and look forward to wearing even more now that the temps have dropped here in Charleston.

Until next time,

Audrey

Carry On Travel Essentials

Happy Thursday! Last night Jason and I flew up to Maine for a quick trip so I thought it was a great time to share my carry on essentials that keep me fresh and comfortable before, during and after the flight.

Carry On Bag

When it comes to the perfect carry on bag, I've had a few over the years in leather, cotton and nylon. While they've all been great in their own ways, my current go-to is the classic Longchamp travel tote. I love this bag because it's super lightweight, can fold into the tiniest size for storage and lasts forever. I picked mine up in Paris (the day after Jason and I got engaged) so it's extra special to me.

Beauty

Even though I'm not hugely into in-flight beauty treatments, I do like to have some bits on hand that make me feel fresh when I land. For me, these include a great hydrating facial mist, lip/cheek combo, hand cream and hair brush. Beyond that, I also keep my travel makeup bag with me in case I need to freshen up my makeup before landing.

Entertainment & Food

One of the things that make flights enjoyable for me is a great book and healthy snacks. To cut down on how much I need to carry, I absolutely adore my kindle and can't recommend it enough if you're an avid reader. When I lived in the city I didn't take a single subway ride without mine and now I can't survive long trips without it.

For food, I love trail mix or mixed nuts (Trader Joe's has some great pre-packaged options) and water. I would love to have a reusable water bottle like the one here but I haven't gotten my hands on one yet so I usually (begrudgingly) pick up a bottle of water at the airport.

Fashion

I already shared my go-to travel outfit on Monday, but I thought I would mention again that I always carry on a pashmina to double as a blanket, and my sunglasses so they don't get damaged in my luggage. Unfortunately, the pashmina I have was a gift so I can't link it here, but I've included some similar alternatives in case you're looking for one.

What are you're in-flight travel essentials? Do you have anything you absolutely cannot live without? Let me know in the comments down below and I hope you have a lovely day!

Until next time,

Audrey
