Happy Friday! Even though I am lucky enough to work from home and for myself, I still look forward to the weekends to recharge and spend some quality time with Jason. In addition to the usual activities, this week we've also tackled sanding our entire first floor which includes the living room, dining room and kitchen! It's been a dusty process but all-in-all, I'm very happy with how they're turning out and can't wait to see them fully restored to their former glory.
Also, in an attempt to begin vlogging I've tried to capture snippets here and there for you this week so hopefully that footage will be up soon and not too terribly boring. Now, to kick off the first weekend in October I've tried to surround myself with nothing but happiness and inspiration so here are a few of my favorites that I want to share with you.
1. Following the tragic shooting in Las Vegas, stories of kindness like these therapy dogs comforting the victims is bringing calm to my heart.
2. Last night a rare harvest moon beamed down from the night sky and I'm so upset that I somehow missed it! Hopefully you were lucky enough to catch it.
3. Even though we're only in October I can't help but feel the excitement of the holidays - Christmas is only 11 weeks and 3 days away! To prepare for the upcoming season and our first tree in our new house, I've been scouring etsy for the cutest vintage decorations.
4. Last but not least, if you have $40,000 to spare you can purchase an "all you can fly" pass from NY to Paris. Even though I can never imagine myself spending such an enormous amount on airfare, the idea of unlimited trips to and from Paris does sound nice.
