Four Piece Formal Capsule With Mejuri AD (PICTURES)

In yesterday’s YouTube video, I partnered with one of my favorite jewelry brands Mejuri to share my 4 piece formal capsule wardrobe. These are the items I have in my closet specifically for the fancy and festive events in my life. There aren’t very many of them so I’ve been able to keep this selection lean over the years and change up my look by dressing these pieces up or down with shoes, jewelry, makeup and hair. Below, I’ve outlined each of the four pieces in my formal capsule along with pictures.

SILK SLIP DRRESS

The first item in my formal and festive capsule is my silk slip dress. This is a gorgeous midi length that I love for dressing up and down - especially around the holidays. For a more formal event, I love how it looks paired with my faux fur jacket, delicate pearl earrings and delicate pearl necklace and festive heels. For a more casual but still festive look, I love how this dress looks paired with a cozy sweater, those same festive heels and delicate layered necklaces - this one, this one and this one. It keeps everything special without feeling stuffy.

FESTIVE HEELS

Next up is a pair of festive vintage pumps that I bought earlier this year in anticipation of the holidays.

I found these gently worn Manolos on TheRealReal for under $100 and I love them for this time of the year but can also wear them other times of the year as well - how gorgeous would they look with a pretty blouse and jeans??

I also love these because they’re kitten heels (which I prefer) so they’re practical for times that I need to stand a lot. I personally, don’t like sacrificing comfort for style so a shoe like this is perfect for me.

NAVY LACE SHIFT DRESS

The third piece in my formal capsule is my navy lace shift dress that I bought and wore for my wedding dress rehearsal and have loved ever since. I love the classic shape and color (navy is a personal fave of mine) and I love that I can wear this dress year round by changing the shoes. In the winter for a more formal event, I love how it looks with simple black pumps, tights, a classic coat and delicate bracelet and ring.

For a more casual look, I think it looks great with tights, flats (these are my vintage Ferragamos that I’ve had for I think 6 years) and a sweater layered over it.

For jewelry, I love the same layered necklaces from earlier and a bold bracelet.

PLAID BLAZER

Last but not least is my vintage plaid blazer (this is Pendleton) that I bought on ETSY. I love how this blazer looks around the holidays and it looks great over dresses, blouses and skirts and even jeans. One of my favorite ways to wear it during the holidays is to pair it with a navy turtleneck, navy pants and great shoes. It’s both masculine and feminine and so cozy but still festive. For jewelry, I think it looks dynamite with a bold bracelet and bold earrings.
