5 Women-Run Businesses I Love

I love discovering new brands and I'm continually amazed by the new talent and innovation popping up every day. To celebrate some of that, today I want to share 5 women-run brands that I've been loving recently. Each of these companies is working to create beautiful products that we can actually use, and are doing so with women at the helm. I hope to make this a mini series, and I'd love to hear your favorite female-run businesses.

GLDN

First up is a jewelry brand that I discovered a few months ago and have been loving ever since. GLDN not only makes beautiful, delicate jewelry that lasts, but they're also committed to doing good. In there own words, "A business is an opportunity to have a positive impact" and 10% of their profits are donated to charity. I was very graciously gifted two of their delicate stacking rings and have been wearing them non-stop ever since. They haven't lost a drop of shine or shape and I couldn't be happier with them. I've been so impressed by their customer service and quality that I have my eye on this necklace next.

MACHETE

As a lover of tortoise shell, I was ecstatic when I discovered Machete, a line of eco-conscious, affordable jewelry created and designed by Jennifer J Matchett. Each of Jennifer's gorgeous pieces is made from high quality and non-petroleum based tortoise shell imported from Italy. This material is "a natural and renewable material, providing an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based materials." I have this pair and this pair and I've worn them so much that for fall, I would also love to add this pair to my collection.

PARADOX

Next up is Paradox which has created a beautiful, 100% fair trade organic, light-weight, multipurpose oil that smells like roses. This made-by-women-for-women formula is just what the doctor ordered for my low porosity hair and even makes a lovely moisturizer too. When I went to Maine earlier this month, I brought this oil in lieu of a hair oil and body lotion and it worked beautifully.

THELMA

You know how much I love loafers and Charleston-based Thelma offers some of the best around. In their own words, Thelma" aims to create uncomplicated essentials that fit the lifestyle of a woman who is quietly aware of who she is and what she likes." Each pair of these gorgeous loafers come in a variety of colors and are 100% Made in Italy from with genuine leathers and handmade sewings.

MARGAUX

I shared more about Margaux in this post, but in short, I love the timeless ballet flats at the core of this gorgeous brand. I love everything they're doing and am endlessly inspired by their success.
