Happy Friday! After coming down with a cold earlier this week, I'm so happy that I feel better in time for the weekend. In addition to recovering, I spent the week prepping for some new videos that I'm so excited to share soon!
I have received so many amazing video requests and suggestions and I'm feeling so inspired to create even better content this year. In the meantime, here are a few of the things I loved this week.
LITTLE ARCHITECTURE | While I was camped out on the couch this week I spent a lot of time on Pinterest and stumbled upon this adorable gallery of incredibly miniatures. I am blown away at the craftsmanship and can't believe the detail!
FREE PHOTO STYLING CLASS | I've followed Marte Marie Forsberg on Instagram forever and have always wanted to take one of her many classes or workshops. As you can imagine, I was thrilled when she announced that for a limited time she would be offering photo styling courses on Skillshare for free! I highly recommend checking it out if you're interested in photography.
GUCCI RESTAURANT | Gucci just opened a restaurant in Italy featuring a Michelin star chef and it's too pretty not to mention. You can see the pics here.
DYING WOMAN'S LIFE ADVICE | If you haven't read this incredibly moving letter penned by a dying 27 year old, it's definitely worth a read. She has sadly lost her battle with cancer, but before she passed she jotted down some of things she wishes we would all remember every day. While incredibly sad, this letter is also a wonderful reminder not to take life for granted.
YOUBELONGNOW & REVOLVE CONTROVERSY | Popular clothing brand Revolve took a small group of influencers to Thailand this week and the pictures sparked concerns over the lack of diversity represented. As a result many very necessary and encouraging conversations have been started including the Instagram account YouBelongNow which is a "movement of content creators who are consistently overlooked because of their skin color, ethnicity, religion, gender, size, age..." From a public relations standpoint Revolve has been a great example of the power effective grass roots marketing but at the same time they are rapidly becoming a larger representation of what happens when brands and individuals become complacent and don't constantly work to improve themselves. It will be very interesting to see how they I'm very respond through their actions in the future and I am feeling encouraged that a more inclusive creative space is on our horizon.
OLIVIA WILDE'S BEAUTY ROUTINE | Last but not least, I loved how simplistic Olivia Wilde's Olivia Wilde's beauty routine is. It's giving me major inspiration for my own spring capsule makeup collection and routine.
