Happy Wednesday! I hope you had a nice Labor Day Weekend. Mine was spent relaxing at home and doing some minor updates to the house. In today's post I'm sharing some of the things I've loved this past month so let's hop right in with my beauty favorite.
After reading tons of wonderful reviews for L'Oreal's newest mascara I decided to pick it up and I have been so impressed. Not only is the new L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara packaged in the loveliest pink tube, but it really performs! In just one swipe my lashes are lengthened and plumped up to a full lash look without smudging. Plus, at only $9.99 a tube, I think this mascara is a wonderful option that won't break the bank.
Next up, is The Coastal Table. I discovered this lovely magazine, Instagram and blog a few months ago and am absolutely smitten with their clean and classic aesthetic. From their gorgeous imagery of quiet seaside life to their countless tasty recipes, The Coastal Table's branding is 100% up my alley. If you like me, love all things coastal and classic then I think you'll love them too and I highly recommend giving them a follow.
My next favorite is my new pair of white Lacoste L.12.12 BL 2 sneakers. I picked these up right before I left for N.Y. earlier this month and I absolutely love them. As you know, I've been on the hunt for a classic pair for a while now.
After trying a few different options I settled on these from Lacoste and I love how comfortable they are without sacrificing style. Plus, I wore them non-stop in the city and they still look brand new.
My next favorite for the month is Advanced Style. I picked up this lovely book about 2 years ago after watching the corresponding documentary and have been continually inspired by it's contents ever since. Since beginning as a blog years ago, Advanced Style has grown into a book (with another on the way!), a blog, instagram account and of course the documentary I mentioned. If you haven't watched the documentary or at least perused Ari Seth Cohen's blog yet, I highly recommend you do so! Not only are the women featured incredibly stylish, but their lives and wisdom is as well. Far too often our society places such an importance on maintaining youth that we overlook what a gift getting older truly is. In short, I find this continual reminder through the women featured in Advanced Style wonderfully refreshing.
It should come as no surprise at this point that Charleston has some amazing restaurants and Leon's Oyster Shop has to be one of my favorites in town. From their decor to their incredible food, I can't recommend this little spot enough. Leon's which lies in the heart of North Central here in downtown Charleston, is the perfect blend of old and new and the decor is perfectly in synch with this. If you are headed to the Low Country soon, I definitely recommend popping into the former auto body shop for their cat fish sandwich, kale salad, hush puppies, brussel sprouts and oysters.
Last but certainly not least is all of you amazing followers and subscribers! Since beginning this journey I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received from so many of you and it fills my heart with joy that you agree to come back time and time again. I first began my blog and YouTube channel as a way to share what I love and have learned about streamlining my own wardrobe over the last few years and I'm continually inspired to create new content each time I receive a lovely comment from one of you. I know that our lives are increasingly hectic in today's day and age and I can't tell you how grateful I am that you choose to spend some of that time with me each week. Thank you :)
