Dressing For A Blizzard

As you know, the East Coast got slammed with a massive winter storm this weekend. The snow started shortly after midnight Friday evening and didn't stop until late Saturday. After being cooped inside for a little too long, Jason and I decided to strap on our bean boots and venture into the eye of the storm ;)

As we made our way to the end of our block, the wind began to pick up like crazy and the snow seemed to fly in from every direction. To beat the bitterly cold temps and icy flakes, I suited up in my favorite thermal undershirt, plaid button down and cable knit sweater. For pants, I opted for jeans because of their heavier weight and topped it all off with my go-to wool fedora and wool overcoat.

When all was said and done, we only lasted outside about 30 minutes before we ran back home for kitten cuddles and Netflix. As of yesterday, the snow is still piled up insanely high in New York so I'm spending today inside working but will be sharing another outfit from the storm later this week.
