July Mood Board

I'm sure I sound like a broken record, but this year is FLYING by! I can't believe we're already at the half way point. To make the most of the rest of the year, I've already planned out my videos for all of July and August and most of my videos for September and October. This month in particular, I'm excited to share my summer capsule wardrobe and makeup routine, an update on my (almost) no heat hair journey, everything you need to know about signet rings and my own gorgeous ring from Ruff's and so much more. In the meantime though, I'm taking most of this week to slow down and enjoy time at home while we ease into a low key Fourth of July.

In the interest of taking it slow (not just because it's scorching hot), this month's mood board is all about keeping things simple. As the quote to the right says, I hope to,

1. Identify the essential

2. Eliminate the rest

This applies to my makeup routine, my closet, my home decor, my meal planning and everything else in between and I'm excited to share it all with you both here and on my YouTube channel.

Speaking of my YouTube channel - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 53,000 subscribers! Your support means the world to me and your constant encouragement keeps me motivated and inspired to work harder and create better content.

Also, thank you for helping me create an incredible community of well-rounded people. I couldn't be happier for our pocket of the internet.

HAPPY JULY!

How To Look Better In Your Clothes

Today's video kicks off a new series with simple outfit tweaks that will help you look and feel better in your clothes.

These simple swaps are things I've been doing for years, and with a little practice they'll become second nature.

Thank you so much for watching! xxAudrey

On My Radar No 45

Happy Friday! I can hardly believe that next week is July 4th! You always hear people saying that time flies quicker with each passing year, but I always assumed that was merely a way of making small talk.

The older I get though, the more I realize just how true that is. Even though I'd prefer that time slow down just a tad, I'm doing my best to live in the moment and savor everything from a night spent on the couch with Netflix to an impromptu trip out of town.

This weekend, we're going to keep it local and hopefully do some more work on the house so that I can share some more updates with you soon. We're also hoping to catch a movie or two and spend plenty of time relaxing - it's too hot this time of year for anything too strenuous.

In the meantime, here are a few of the things that are on my radar this week.

NEW TSA POWDER RESTRICTIONS| TSA recently updated their powder restrictions for travelers flying to the U.S. You can read more about here, but essentially "any powdered substances — like makeup, protein shake mix, spices, baby powder — will need to be packed in containers less than 12 ounces (350 mL), or about the size of a can of soda."

YOU CAN OWN THE VILLA FROM "UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN" | It's always been a dream of mine to live in Tuscany some day - even if it's just for a month. If you also long for a life under the Tuscan sun, you can purchase the villa from Diane Lane's 2003 film.

GOOP X LILLY PULITZER | I'm not typically drawn to Lilly Pulitzer. While I can appreciate the bright colors and fun patterns, I feel more comfortable in softer shades, but this GOOP x LILLY PULITZER collaboration is really pretty!

SUMMER CAPSULE INSPIRATION | One of my favorite minimal style bloggers, Lo recently shared her summer capsule wardrobe and it's inspiring me to add pops of red and mustard into my own wardrobe. I just love her personal style.

SUMMER PACKING GUIDES | CAPE COD

My next summer packing guide is for one of my favorite places - The Cape.

This New England oasis is historic, full of charm and ideal for a quick getaway. To suit the beautiful homes, casual bike rides and long walks on the beach, polished but relaxed separates are key.

For a color palette, nothing says New England quite like blue and white. To offset these two colors and add some airiness, I also threw in some pink. For footwear, I think nothings better than classic sandals that you can throw on and off at the beach and a pair of easy sneakers. Espadrilles are also a great option.

For accessories, I like to keep things simple with a straw bag, sunglasses, classic jewelry and straw hat. Last but not least, I always like to bring along a cotton sweater and silk scarf for those chilly nights.
