Brooks Brothers 200th Anniversary & A Few Of My Favorite Pieces

On April 7, 1818, Henry Sands Brooks opened H. & D. H. Brooks & Co. in New York City. Today, 200 years later the brand is still a leader in the fashion world offering timeless staples that are beautifully made. In celebration of this exciting milestone, I want to share a few of my favorite Brooks Brothers pieces that I've had for years and have been incredibly happy with. Not only do these items still look fantastic years later, but they haven't lost their shape, integrity or versatility - the true mark of a worth-while purchase.

On My Radar No. 33

Happy Friday! This week absolutely flew by and now that it's Friday I'm looking forward to doing some gardening, taking long walks downtown and enjoying every second of this beautiful spring weather.

Even though this week was over in the blink of an eye, and I'm incredibly behind on photographing and sharing my #Spring10x10 looks (hoping to catch-up today!), here are a few of the things that have caught my attention.

BROOKS BROTHERS 200TH ANNIVERSARY | First up is Brooks Brother's 200th Anniversary taking place tomorrow! In celebration of this exciting milestone, I'll be sharing a few of my brand favorites tomorrow, but in the meantime you can receive an extra 18.18% (because they were founded in 1818) on your purchase in-store, online and over the phone.

AMAZING STYLE INSTAGRAM | As you know, I love getting style inspiration anywhere I can and Instagram is becoming one of my favorite sources again with my rediscovery of Trini's profile. I have followed Trini for years, but lost track of her instagram until recently. If you love classic, simple styles I think you'll her looks.

BRUNELLO CUCINELLI | One of my favorite ways to sustain my love for the classic pieces in my wardrobe and stay inspired by how to style them, is to take style cues from luxurious brands like Brunello Cucinelli and this brand video delivered that and then some. Not to mention, it makes me want to head back to Italy ASAP.

DREAMY ETSY SHOP | One of the things I love the most about Etsy is the accessibility to an endless selection of artisans and collectors from around the world and this recent discovery is a dream come true.

March Favorites

After many technical difficulties, my March favorites are finally live! Like always, I have a mix of fashion, lifestyle and beauty but I also wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for watching my videos and supporting my channel! Your support keeps me inspired and motivated to create the level of content that you deserve and like always thank you so much for watching! xx Audrey

Plan De Ville Debuts The Marché Tote

Happy Wednesday and I hope you're having a wonderful week! Personally, this week has absolutely flown by and I can't believe we're at the half way point. I will be sharing my March favorites later today, but in the meantime I wanted to share an exciting new launch from one of my favorite inspiring women. If you saw my November favorites last year, you know how much I admire Catherine Smith of Plan de Ville and her beautifully curated e-commerce site PlanDeVilleNYC.com, so when she reached out about her first private label piece, I couldn't wait to share it with you.

The Marché Tote, which is included under the new brand extension PDV Privé, is inspired by the classic French market tote and made of technical canvas and leather, features solid brass hardware, an adjustable shoulder strap, and has multiple inner pockets for a piece that's not only beautiful but also functional. This tote was inspired by travel and adventure and to celebrate the varied lives of Plan De Ville's customers. The Marché Tote was designed in-house, is available in two versatile colors (Cognac and Océan Royal Blue) and is made in America. Not to mention, it's just plain gorgeous and would look perfect with a multitude of looks - some examples below.

Now, a little more about PDV Privé. This new division of the PDV family is a collaborative private label dedicated to spotlighting emerging designers and was created as a new way for Plan De Ville to tell the story of such emerging designers. This new division helps merge PDV's perspective with their designer’s talents to offer new products in a way that shares and enhances their mission. In Founder and CEO Catherine Smith's own words, Plan De Ville is "in a position to lift designers to new heights and introduce them to their very first e-commerce customers." Through their incredible work thus far, Plan De Ville's team "has discovered designers that have gone on to be carried by the best retailers in the world, and PDV Privé is a new way for us to tell their story." What's more, this division was created for Plan De Ville's wide customer base that ranges in age from her early 20's to their 60's and enjoys not only well-known heritage brands but also pieces by emerging design talent - something that I personally love as well.

As an important voice in the retail space, and an incredible example of how to empower and encourage others, Catherine Smith and Plan De Ville are leading by example with this exciting new launch. As Catherine perfectly said herself, "PDV Privé is an inclusive brand" and I can't wait to see what else they offer in the coming months and years.

The Marché Tote is available for purchase on Plan de Ville (plandevilleNYC.com) and the new e-commerce property created specifically for this launch, PDVprive.com.
