November Favorites

It's favorites time again! This month I have a new favorite scarf to share, a great new book that's helping me get organized, a home decor fave and so much more.

First up, I have a "new" old scarf that I picked up in late October, early November.

This lovely chiffon number is super lightweight and adds the perfect amount of fall color into my wardrobe without leaving me sweltering in the heat. Since we've had some wonky weather this season and keep fluctuating between cool and warm temps, I've been getting a ton of use out of this scarf and can't wait to continue wearing it throughout the winter. I've linked some of my favorite vintage scarf retailers in the description bar of my video, but this is one that I go back to time and time again.

Next up, I've been loving Remodelista's new book. This affordable organization resource is jam-packed with everything you need to get your home in order and I can't stop reading it. If you saw my first vlogmas video then you know that we got a new mirror for our bedroom from Target and I couldn't be happier with it.

Another item I've been loving this month is the Kristin Ess Depth Defining Water-Based Pomade. I picked this up to add some subtle texture into my hair when I wear loose waves and I am so happy with it! It smells amazing, really works and is a steal at only $10.

Now that the holiday season is finally here I've been listening to Christmas music non-stop. I recently created a playlist of some of my faves and Ella Fitzgerald kicks it off because nothing says Christmas quite like Ella.

It wouldn't be a favorites video if I didn't include an inspiring woman and this month (and every month!) I've been endlessly inspired by Catherine Smith. I go into more detail in my video but essentially, Catherine is the complete package and I love following along as she tackles running her own business, inspiring women and pursuing higher education.

If you saw my first Vlogmas, then you know that I recently upgraded my equipment and I couldn't be happier with my new camera! In addition to all of the technical reasons, I'm most excited by the fact that all of my videos are now in 4K which is the highest quality we have available to s right now. Along those same lines, I've loved vlogging for you and I can't wait to share more!

Classic Christmas Decorations & Inspiration

Now that we're finally close to being done with our floors, I'm turning my sights toward decorating for Christmas and I can't contain my excitement! While I browsed the internet for inspiration and unique, classic pieces I found so many gems that I had to share them with you. Below, I've linked some of my favorites along with some of the most inspiring images I found. Each one plays perfectly into my theme this year - minimal effort, maximum impact. Vlogmas | Week 1

Vlogmas | Week 1

Vlogmas Week 1 is here! These past two days I shared a preview of our bedroom, a new book I'm loving, tested out a hair oil and so much more. I had a blast filming this and can't wait to share more this month. Also, I've upgraded my equipment so that my videos will be in 4K from now - wooo! I hope you enjoy and like always, thanks so much for watching.

ON MY RADAR | No. 18

Happy Friday and happy December! I'm currently about a 93 out of 10 on the holiday cheer scale and I am super excited to embark on my first full day of vlogging! If you caught one of my Instagram stories earlier this week then you know that I am currently upgrading my equipment so that I can make better content for you. In order to spend the necessary time studying and fiddling with my new camera I didn't post on Wednesday but am excited to post a new video with a fresher feel on Sunday.

Also, I'm excited to share that I'm doing Vlogmas this year and will be posting a holiday themed weekly vlog each Sunday leading up to Christmas. I personally LOVE watching holiday vlogs and I'm excited to share them with you this year. Before I head out for a day of filming and holiday prep, here are some of the things I've been loving this week.

MIMI THORISSON'S IRELAND | You know how much I love Mimi so as you can imagine I've been going through serious withdrawal with no new blog posts lately. All was forgiven though when she shared her recent trip to Ireland. I have been dying to visit Ireland for years now and Mimi's exquisite pictures have fueled my wanderlust for the emerald isle even more. You can see her entire post here

DANISH FARMHOUSE REMODEL | As a lover of simple design and clean, clutter-free spaces, this Danish farmhouse remodel is right up my street. The neutral but chic color palette and carefully curated shelves have been craving a major declutter ASAP. I mean, just look at those beams!

MEGHAN MARKLE & PRINCE HARRY'S ENGAGEMENT | Like everyone else, I was watching with giddy delight as this new couple shared their engagement this week. After watching their interview I was struck by not only how in love they seem to be, but also by how well-spoken Meghan Markle is. As a constant champion for women and the never ending desire for us all to be educated and poised, I was thrilled to see her step graciously into her new role. I would be lying if I didn't also mention that I can't wait to see more of her impeccable fashion sense and gorgeous, natural makeup looks - I'm so ready for the "Meghan effect" to take place.

TINTED LIP BALM FIT FOR A FRENCH GIRL | I really don't like lipstick. Despite my best efforts, I've never been able to find a formulation that I found comfortable enough to wear so I typically stick to tinted lip balm. I have a few that I rely on for a perfect hint of color but I've been wanting to branch out a bit and try something new. While on the hunt for that effortless, French chic stain, Jamie Beck of AnnStreetStudio.com (who I LOVE!) shared one of her faves. These French Girl Organics Lip Tints are absolutely beautiful and natural looking. I've got my eye on Ambre Rose, Cerise and Veronique and I'll definitely let you know what I think of them.

THE CLASSIC BLACK BERET | To go with my French girl lip, I'm loving the idea of berets. I wore them constantly when I was much younger and I am so happy that they are coming back into fashion - though truth be told, I don't think they ever went out of fashion. In addition to keeping your head warm, I love that these toppers are minimal and easy to wear. I think they look perfect with everything from a camel coat to a sweater and jeans and I can't wait to incorporate one into my daily looks. I'm currently working on a post all about why I'm planning to add this piece to my wardrobe so be on the lookout for that in the next few days. I currently have my eye on this affordable option
