When the weather turns crisp the city simply comes alive. It seems like New Yorkers have a renewed sense of awe when the seasons turn, and I am no exception. In fact, one of my favorite things to do on a cool fall day is wander the streets of the West Village and daydream about living in one of the many idyllic brownstones. This past weekend, that's exactly what Jason and I did.
The weather was the perfect balance of cool and sunny so I opted for luxe-feeling neutrals to match the classic feel of the Village. My sweater is the perfect weight for wearing alone or layering over collared shirts when it gets really cold. My pants are from Zara and are incredibly comfortable while still looking sharp. My flats are the perfect footwear for walking in the city (more to come on that and my other top city shoe pics in another post!) and the bag is a vintage Gucci Kelly bag that I scored on eBay a while back. I topped it all off with a brown leather jacket from Zara.

In honor of Ralph Lauren stepping down this week, I pulled out my vintage Ralph Lauren herringbone blazer. This blazer is such a testament to the classic designs synonymous with the Ralph Lauren brand. It features a gorgeous tweed material with luxe suede elbow patches and collar details that are always on trend, and oh so perfect for fall.
My cream cashmere sweater is an incredible thrift store find from last year - it was brand new with the tags on! I completed the outfit with my all-time favorite skinny jeans from LOFT (last mentioned here) and my super comfortable brown Sebago loafers.
Until next time!
